"A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know. " --Diane Arbus
Many people don't tend to understand my "obsession." My obsession in a drug...which makes me take consistent snapshots, especially of myself. Heck yeah, I love myself...but that's really not the point. I don't want you to appreciate my looks--which are not so great--to be honest. I want you to appreciate the art behind every picture. The skill it takes to visualise an image with the blink of an eye, and imagine what it would look like, before a successfully creative edit.
I think that people have become extremely selfish, and too self-involved, that they become slightly hypocritical when they judge someone. I am told that my obsession in photographing myself is too much for a person to withstand on their news feed. My question is....why do you bother looking? Why do you bother seeing/commenting on every single opinion I give, or when I try to expose my feelings through my 'talent.' I think you need a reminder of what you tend to think of when you stare at yourself in the mirror everyday, and I'm sure, you do take shots of yourself. If you can't appreciate art...just don't say a word, unless it's honest criticism regarding the edit and not me. Honestly speaking, I don't enjoy photographing myself, I just do it for the sake of having a photo on my hands to edit. Whenever I get the chance, I try to snap family members, but don't tend to share their images too much as I appreciate their level of privacy on a social network site. I'm completely fine with my own pictures, or my friends who want their shots taken.
A recent edit. Signifies, deep thought and being solitary.
